Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Keep-Warm function automatic?
No. It’s a customizable preset. By default, Keep-Warm is on, with a white indicator light, 2-hour duration, and 185°F / 85°C temperature. You can turn it off with one button. The steamer remembers your last setting - no need to set it again.
Can I set times other than the 7 preset options, like 7 or 9 minutes?
The steamer has 7 preset time settings to meet most steaming needs. If the knob is turned between two settings (e.g., between 5 and 10 minutes), it will select the closer preset time. There are no settings for 7 or 9 minutes.
What happens when the water tank runs out of water?
When the tank is empty, the steamer will pause automatically. The “Refill” indicator on the far left will flash, the knob light and progress light will also flash, and the unit will beep for 5 seconds every 20 seconds, repeating 10 times. Add water to the tank, and the steamer will resume automatically.
Can I use it for sterilization?
Yes, the steamer can be used to sterilize small baby items such as bottle nipples, bottles, and more.
What material is the water tank made of? Is it safe for food use?
The heating area of the water tank is made from food-grade thickened 316L stainless steel for safe and durable heating. The remaining plastic parts are made of BPA-free PP material that is safe for baby use. All materials have passed relevant safety standards and are safe for everyday food preparation.
Is the power cord detachable or integrated on the food steamer?
The G52 Food Steamer features an integrated power cord design. This design provides more stable circuitry and helps prevent water from reaching the power cord connection during cleaning, reducing the risk of malfunction.
